Happy Birthday Tim!

This man.

He is so good.

In so many simple and subtle ways.

And in gigantic big ways too.

He is good.

He leads our family. He puts us first. He works hard. He takes time to listen. He plays games. He is positive. He makes God and our faith a priority for our family. He puts up with my crazy ideas. He gently calls me out when I am wrong.

He puts up with hair all over everything.

(If you have four girls in your house you understand this one. Remember he wears dri fit shirts pretty much every single day and hair clings to that stuff. Yikes.)

He is patient. He goes for walks. He is thoughtful.  He is an amazing cook. He loves sports. He challenges his girls.. He understands what makes them unique. He changes poopy diapers..you know the real bad ones. He gives baths. He cleans out the dishwasher. He is forgiving. He admits he is not perfect. He tries hard. He does the little things and the big things. He is good.

And we love him.

We are so lucky to call him ours.

spring break and beyond

we had a pretty good spring break. it was kind of weird because some unexpected things happened like me getting sick.

so plans changed. 

but everything worked out.

and we still managed to have a good time.

jake was a bit fussy and cece was sure it was because he couldn't see the movie.

she gave him a front row seat.

cece scooped me a largest.....i mean...the smallest bowl of ice ever. 

maybe two or three spoonfuls. 

cracked me up. 

A for effort. 

then I got sick.

we were supposed to go to my parents. 

the girls were so mad at me. 

pretty sure a revolt was a brewing. 

luckily my mom was able to come help me out and settle the revolutionaries down.

jake loved all the nana snuggles.

ncaa wrestling national championships

state volleyball for jojo. 

it was so hot.

and Ellie's team was red hot. won their pool and made it to the second round. 

so fun. 

more wrestling.

kyven gadson made it to the finals. 

and he made the most of it. 

a pin to become a National Champion. 

it was so cool.

getting on good picture has become increasingly challenging. 

my new strategy is to get several okish ones and call that good. 

i like my new plan.

oh warm sunshine we we are so happy you are back. spring you are good. 

hello parks. we are back at our park adventure. we are pretty confident we can finish off our 100 parks is year. 

hello cyclones. back to back big 12 champs! love these comeback kids!! we are ready to cheer some more!

hello snuggles. 

hello volleyball. another couple Saturday's worth of volleyball tournaments are in the books. the first one included the famous (????) albert the bull. that tourney made Jake is 4-0 for being good and this one even include a couple hours of driving. he is a trooper.

thank goodness nana came along.

and this Saturday my bleacher buddy and I were cheering for miss Ellie again.

hello trains. choo choo.

hello walks. oh I have missed you. 

hello lunch date with miss cece. luckily my lunch lines up with ceces so I like to slip over and eat lunch with her every so often. she was surprised and happy to see me. 

hello check up. Jake had his two month well check on Friday. he weighed in at 11pounds 5 ounces. that puts him at the 20th percentile. our doctor was happy with how well he could hold up his head and enjoyed his smiles. he took his shots like a champ!! good boy!

and can you believe we left his paci at home so the poor boy had to use big sisters paci. 

hello apple eater. her love of apple juice is well known. now she has taken to eating apples. oh magpie!

hello boys rule. Jake does rule. he is all good.
