i know i haven't mentioned it much on here.
but last summer was rough for me.
i wanted so badly to enjoy my time with my kiddos. but i was overwhelmed.
soccer, swimming, vbs, plus i was taking classes, caring for a baby, dealing with a toddler with sleep apnea.
and then there was postpartum hormones. when jake was born, throughout my maternity leave and during his first few months i had escaped the really strong postpartum feels. i honestly thought i was out of the woods. but when jake was about six months old it hit. i had to work my way through some anxiety and blue moods. there were days of just going through the motions.
just surviving.
it was a rough summer.
but even so we made it through. and while i look back and definitely remember how hard it was there was also a lot of good. tim definitely helped me get through. to keep moving forward. he took control when i needed him the most.
as this summer approached i started having anxiety.
i mean what if it wasn't hormones and baby blues.
what if it was just me being overwhelmed by being home during the summer???
i didn't want to spend another summer in survival mode.
i really questioned myself. i was nervous it was going to hit again.
i prayed and prayed and prayed that i could handle it. that i could just be and enjoy this summer.
we have weighed out every choice. prayed for what would be the best.
