good stuff.
friday evening we celebrated vbs with a closing concert.
there were a lot of kids. it was tough to get pictures of cece and maggie. can you find them???
then saturday morning cece was honored as a featured youth artist at the des moines art festival. she was so nervous about the ceremony. it was so hot and a bit chaotic. but she did great! and her artwork was awesome!
we went for lunch and came home for naps. the heat and wiped us all out. even tim and i napped. when we work up around 5:00pm we started to discuss plans for sunday. we wanted to go fish at his parent's place in southern iowa. we decided if we were going to drive down in the morning we might as well go now so we can have a bonfire. so we packed up and headed out of town.

we got home just before 11 sunday night.
i would call that making the most of the weekend.
