Today I tidied up our "catch all" space.

And in this basket I found a little bling.....

 .....fake bling that is! I found 12 play dress up rings! Not that anyone has been missing them...but they sure were cluttering up our key/sunglasses/other random important things basket.

 This is my simple solution to keeping track of those precious box tops. Ellie is ALL ABOUT collecting box tops! And we needed a way to keep track of all those little thingys.

Ellie and Cece decided to write letters to each other today (all on their own I might add)....this is what Ellie wrote to Cece. Ellie wrote Cece 3 love letters...it was really cute! Makes my heart happy!

 I found these labeled poptarts boxes in the pantry today. I guess Ellie was tired of her dad stealing her poptarts!

Ummmmm-mmmm! Sausage Bread. If you haven't had sausage bread you are missing out! So simple, so yummy, so perfect!

the lady said it was perfect

It's that time of year again. A week or so ago Ellie brought her school picture home.....I have posted about our picture problems in the past. Fingers were crossed that this year would be different......take a look for yourself.

Yeah....not the best! Her school picture aversion is becoming quite comical. Ellie even admitted its not her real smile but insisted that "the lady said it was perfect!" From the look in her eyes you would guess she had been sitting there smiling for days! Gotta love her!

Anyways, the real deal is way better than any picture...you will just have to take my word for it!

A little extra..... (aren't you lucky!!!)

1. I folded laundry for 3 hours yesterday.....that is what happens when you let laundry just sit clean in the baskets for a week. However, I did get to watch 4 episodes of Design Inc and get my Sarah and Tommy fix.

2. Ellie has been going to bed at 8pm...first time in her life! Second grade must be pretty tough!!

3. We went to the Cyclone football game on Saturday. Cece slept through the first half. Yep she just laid across three of our four seats and went to sleep! Ellie and I squeezed into some empty seats in the row behind us and did our best not to wake the monster!

4. It's Red Ribbon Week. This is a big deal when you are a middle school health teacher. Remember it is never too early to start talking to your kids about this stuff. If you don't want to talk to them about drugs....teach them some refusal skills--how to say no (I know exactly what you are thinking my kids tell me no all the time....so they do know how to tell you no, but they probably don't know how to tell their friends no...it is a skill that takes lots of practice). I know a good refusal skills march if you are interested......:)

5. Cece is absolutely obsessed with my contacts. Like poke-her-finger-in-my-eye-to-feel-them obessed. It is comical...and slightly painful.

Not-So Wordless Wednesday: Randy Voice

For some reason during our prank-call-athon the girls decided to imitate my Uncle Randy. It was absolutely hilarious! I just had to get it on video...enjoy:)

on Saturday afternoon I pretended to be a photographer....I know I don't know what I am doing, I know these probably aren't the best pictures, however I had a lot of fun taking them, I really enjoyed capturing their sweet personalities, and I think they turned out pretty darn good.....enjoy :)
