tuesday edition of meal plannnig monday

I have a really good excuse for not getting this post up yesterday.....I had parent teacher conferences. It was a good night. I was able to speak with some parents AND I was able to get a lot of work done!

Monday: Girls ate Chinese with Grandma Cheryl, I ate dinner provided for us by parents at school and Tim ate leftovers.

Tuesday: Chicken Tortilla Soup
*Carried over from last week.

Wednesday: Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes
I got this idea from Missy....they look yummy!

Thursday: Another night of Parent Teacher Conferences. Girls wll be eating Spaghetti with Grandma.

Friday: ???? I just hope I get there:)

Sorta Wordless Wednesday: Candyland Cece Style

We have been playing Candyland quite a bit here lately. Tonight Cece told me her rules.

#1 You Draw 3 Cards

#2 You Get to Pick Your Cards Go Fish Style

#3 If you have two cards of the same color you can play them  both....so realistically you could move 4 spaces in one move!

Gotta love her creativity and I will admit Cece rules made for one fun game of Candyland!

Meal Planning Monday and Weekend Wrap Up

We had a great weekend. A very restful-hanging out in your pajamas-lots of time together type of weekend. Something we all needed.

Highlights included
1. Ellie finally getting her voice back and feeling much better!
2. Cece going out for dinner with Momma and Daddy
3. Ellie going to a Birthday Party
4. Momma getting new cellphone! Nothing fancy just a basic phone, but finally I can hear when I talk to someone on the phone. And Cece did pick me a pretty pink cover:)
5. Daddy having a day off and making us some amazing chili.
6. Lots of movie watching!

On to the Meal Plan...........

Monday: Tenderloins and Oven Fries

Tuesday: Chili Dogs
We are going to use leftover Chili from this weekend.

Wednesday: Fish Sandwiches and Mac n Cheese Cups

Thursday: Chicken Tortilla Soup

Friday: ???

Five for Friday

1. Ellie has a cold. So we had a sick day yesterday. She is on the mend and is feeling much better today. Not gonna lie....it was awesome to spend a day at home. I accomplished a lot! I caught up on laundry, cleaned out girls closets (no more Daddy trying to dress Cece is too small clothes), started cleaning out the baby's room (right now it is an office/catch all), cuddled with my girls and took a 2 hour nap! It was a great day!

2. My mom  received the best-Valentines-Day-present-ever this year. I mean this one will be hard to top. Drum roll please...............my dad gave her a new toilet!! Well....he installed their new toilet :) He has done an amazing job remodeling their bathroom and the toilet was the final touch! Can't wait to check it out! Don't worry I will share the finished product with ya'll!!

3. Baby Bump: 15 Weeks

Ellie clicked this picture of me.....she was very proud that she caught the cat (streaking down the steps) and my belly in the same picture!

4. On Monday we tried out the Hamburger Pasta Soup and I will say that it is a must try! It was soooooo yummy! We will definitely we eating it again real soon!!

5. Hit the jackpot at the thrift store after school today...found a kiddy picnic table for $6 and 15 embroidery hoops for .99!

About a week ago we celebrated Cece's 4th birthday with a Gumball Birthday Party. Her birthday party just happened to be the snowiest day so far this winter! The snow kept some of our guests away but we still managed to have a bubble gummy good time!

So we did a semi-good job sticking to the meal plan last week.This week we might even do a little better!

Week of Monday February 13th

Monday: Hamburger Pasta Soup
When I saw this recipe I knew I had to try it. It is simmering on the stove right now....looks amazing!

Tuesday: Meat Ball Subs and Valentine treats

Wednesday: Chicken Enchiladas

Thursday: PW's Corn Chowder
I love watching her show...makes me want to cook yummy meals!

Friday: Breakfast Pizza

Saturday: Tim's Chili

Had an I-love-my-life-moment this evening when I looked out to see how the snow removal crew was doing. The girls had their sleds out and were sledding down our driveway. Tim was giving them big pushes and they were flying clear out into the street. They were laughing and having a great time. It really is the little things!

Ok, that's all I have for ya. Off to enjoy the evening watching the Cyclones.
