Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is my favorite person's birthday...Tim turned 35 today! Last night the girls and I took him out to Olive Garden for his birthday. We had a great time and enjoyed some yummy food.

Tonight we celebrated at home..........things didn't exactly go as planned. There was a small accident with his Peanut Butter Pie Birthday Cake. Ellie was trying to be helpful and carry it in from the freezer in the garage. In her effort to balance the cold pan by holding it with her shirt while she shut the freezer door it fell onto a tricycle. Ellie was crying because she dropped the pie and Cece was crying because there was pie on her tricycle. Everyone was able to calm down and get some good laughs out of the whole deal. Oh memories!

Just another reason why us girls are so lucky to have Tim! He is so patient, loving, hard working, and of course has a great sense of humor! Who else could find the humor in his birthday cake getting dropped on a tricycle! We love you Tim! Happy Birthday!

Five for Thursday

1. I was reading Ashley's blog post earlier today and completely cracked up at the medical dictation bloopers she mentioned in her post. So out of curiosity I clicked on the source link and low and behold I found a whole page of bloopers. Hilarious! Ya know laughing is good for your health, right? So you best go check them out!

2. We are going bananas here or maybe we are turning into monkeys. Whatever it is our banana consumption has quadrupled. We are having to make extra grocery stops just for bananas. My current favorite after school snack....a banana and a handful of chocolate chips. Just dip the banana in the chocolate chips and enjoy. Simple, yummy, fulfills my chocolate craving and it's sorta kinda healthy.

3. Tunnel-o-fun.

4. I have an amazing husband. Pretty much every day when I get home from school the dishwasher has been emptied and any dirties from breakfast are in the dishwasher. He does this in the morning after we leave for school and before he goes to work for the day. This little gesture pretty much makes my day. God blessed me with a great one! He rocks!

5. The pillows I sewed last week have sparked some serious crafty energy in me. Since I finished the pillows I have worked on about five other crafty projects. Hope to share a few with you soon! Golly it feels good to be creative!

That is it for now folks! Have a lovely Thursday!

Spring Break Wrap-Up

We had a super duper awesome Spring Break around here. It was the perfect mix of playing, relaxing, crafting, organizing and cleaning. We had a great time and got a lot accomplished! Here are just a few pictures of our Spring Break. Enjoy!

Bowling with Daddy

 Sister Pep Talk

Ellie showed off her amazing fashion sense and the girls played outside between sprinkles.

Despite Cece's goofy face....she is excited about her little sister!
On a rainy morning the girls created with marshmellows and toothpicks.

 Lots of Barbies!
A tea party in a closet.
Plenty of playing outside!

What a great week.....makes me really excited for Summer. Until then we are sure going to enjoy our Spring!

Baby Stuff....

I made my first baby purchase yesterday.....a little heater I found on clearance. Very practical, I know, but we are worried about keeping this little one's room warm during the cold winter. So this was something we really wanted to purchase for her. It was just what we were looking for at a great price!

This purchase really got me thinking about what else I want to buy or make before this sweet little one comes along...of course I consulted the source of all good ideas...pinterest! :)

She'll definitely need some baby booties

I used a baby sling with Cece...but have since heard they are not the safest. So I want to make a baby wrap. Heidi has a great tutorial on how to make one yourself!

We will definitely need some more baby bibs. These are just the cutest!!

She'll come along right before football season....so a football onesie would be just perfect! Along with a cute little hair bow :)

Glammed up onesies are pretty cute too!

I will have to make a cute crib mobile. Maybe something like this.

These gauzy swaddle blankets look like they would be just perfect for a sweet August babe.

Lucky for me....Dana from MADE is doing a series called Celebrate Baby....so I should get all kinds of great ideas from her!

Well.....I think that is it for now. I am sure I will come of with a few more things to make!
