Five for Thursday

1. I was reading Ashley's blog post earlier today and completely cracked up at the medical dictation bloopers she mentioned in her post. So out of curiosity I clicked on the source link and low and behold I found a whole page of bloopers. Hilarious! Ya know laughing is good for your health, right? So you best go check them out!

2. We are going bananas here or maybe we are turning into monkeys. Whatever it is our banana consumption has quadrupled. We are having to make extra grocery stops just for bananas. My current favorite after school snack....a banana and a handful of chocolate chips. Just dip the banana in the chocolate chips and enjoy. Simple, yummy, fulfills my chocolate craving and it's sorta kinda healthy.

3. Tunnel-o-fun.

4. I have an amazing husband. Pretty much every day when I get home from school the dishwasher has been emptied and any dirties from breakfast are in the dishwasher. He does this in the morning after we leave for school and before he goes to work for the day. This little gesture pretty much makes my day. God blessed me with a great one! He rocks!

5. The pillows I sewed last week have sparked some serious crafty energy in me. Since I finished the pillows I have worked on about five other crafty projects. Hope to share a few with you soon! Golly it feels good to be creative!

That is it for now folks! Have a lovely Thursday!

soybeans

my girlies just picking some soybeans

Since we goofed around last Sunday picking and tasting some soybeans,
I think Ellie thinks she is a soybean expert now!

On the way home from school today, we had the following conversation.
Ellie: Look Mom!
Me: Oh, they are combining some soybeans
Ellie: Yep! I know what they're doing....they are going to bag those up and take um to
the soybean store...maybe wash um and sell um..for money!
Being a farmgirl, I know that isn't quite the process....but I just let it go.
I really enjoy hearing her view on things:)

Project Completion: Bed Side Tables

Early this Summer we moved up from our Full Size (yes for the first 8 years of our marriage we slept on a Full size bed....it was a Wedding present from Tim's parents) to a Queen! Needless, to say we were very excited. However, with the bed switch we longer could use our 70's headboard (also included in the wedding present...can't really complain it served us well... I will say I am glad it is gone!) with the built-in shelves.

Bed Side Tables were a top priority on my garage sale, thrift shop and flea market shopping list and I struck Gold at the What Cheer Flea Market.
I purchased the small dresser for Tim's side for $7 and the round table for my side for $8.
$15 for both...not to shabby if I do say so myself!!

I primed and painted both tables white.
I replaced the ugly red knobs on the dresser with knobs leftover from the kitchen and bathroom cabinets.
And did a little distressing to give them just the right look.

We think they turned out pretty darn good:)

Stay Home Saturday!

The Girls and I decided today would be a total "stay home" day!
Ellie and Cece started the day by bringing me breakfast in bed....chocolate animal crackers...I'll take it.

We did a little painting.
And some picnicing.
(we shared that plate of cheetos....)
What is a picnic without a little cheese?!?

 Sprinkler...fudge bar....more sprinkler!
\
So much fun makes some people really tired! She fell asleep around 6pm and actually stayed asleep!! Which gave me some much needed furniture painting time!

This is just one of the pieces I worked on today!
Feels good to get so much accomplished!

We had a great stay home Saturday! Hope you did too!
