we are at a point in the school year where time starts to really roll by quickly.
practices, games, chickfila nights, fun nights, conferences, other events, road trips.
i am a gal who prefers time to move slowly. i like the quiet moments.
so this makes me a bit anxious. over the years i have learned to slow this all down a bit.
i set aside a little time for me and my bible.
we get to church as much as possible!
we bring along books and games to practices and turn what could be wasted time into quality time.
we let things go during the week and play catch up on the weekends.
i have a solid meal plan and we eat dinner together.
we set up play dates during practices so the littles can enjoy.
carpool.
i exercise in the morning.
i pray a lot.
the other day I was reading the story about Mary and Martha in Luke chapter 10. Jesus comes to visit and Martha busies herself making him feel at home where as Mary sits and focuses on Jesus. this reminded me, even in all this craziness i have to find Jesus and focus on Him. it can be done. i am not too busy for that. my heart also took it another step. i can't miss this main course...i can't be so busy that i miss all the goodness God has given me. these sweet babies. t can't get so focus on the logistics that i miss the moments. that I miss them, my kids.
i have to show them Jesus. that He is right in the thick of this with us. so they know when times really get tough He will be there too.
on this cold February day we are saying a prayer to see Jesus and to enjoy the main course. the goodness that God has provided.
