hey.......wednesday.

what. what.

well monday got away from me. and tuesday flew right on by.

so here we are.

wednesday.

we had a pretty good weekend at our house. it was a good combination of cheering for our cyclone soccer team, a family birthday party for some special twins, and a productive day in the basement.

however i did not get what ellie called "the landfill of laundry" folded which is why there was no blogging monday. it was reaching a crises level. two plus weeks of laundry. the basket digging was getting real old. this morning i am glad to report all laundry is washed, dried, folded and put away. that is until i wash a load after school. and then it begins again. yikes.

the basement is coming along. we are like three big steps away from completion. its exciting. the plan is to get paint on the walls this week and next weekend. fun stuff.

and last night was softball. cece's last game. and ellie's game ended dramatically. the lights went out. lots of girls screaming on pitch black fields. luckily i was holding maggie, who had been previously running bases on an empty field with cece. that would have been a little scary for all of us.

so here goes with a meal plan.

monday: we had chicken noodle soup.
there were a few grumbles about chicken noodle soup because i guess i make it a lot. but 2/3 of our children eat it really well including the little one who needs to eat well. she had two bowls. sorry grumblers we will keep eating it:)

tuesday: we grabbed subway with grandpa dave before softball games.

wednesday: cheeseburgers and coleslaw

thursday: fishstick tacos

friday: homemade pizza

let's do this.

house tour: main floor

we have been living in our house for five years!

if you would have told me five years ago that we would still be here now, i am not sure i would not have believed you. i mean i would have wanted to believe you, but life had just been so.....crazy. so staying put seemed like a dream.

well dreams do come true.

and here we are.

home.

and it feels so good!

we have spent the last five years, making this house our home.

we have made it a comfortable, cheery, kid friendly space. it's not the biggest house, but it works well for us. we are in the process of adding more space by finishing our basement into a family/playroom and of course my craft room. i am a lucky gal.

i wanted to document and home as it is right now. five years in.

we will start today with the main floor. it is basically one large open space. each room runs into the next and i like that.

you'll notice i like these three things.....bunting, chairs, and pictures of our family. enjoy.

entry

half bathroom

living room

dining room

for a long time, i really wanted to paint the dining room chairs all different colors. so happy i did,
