1. phew. i mean sister maggie is giving us a run for our money. i prayed and prayed for a healthy start to our school year. and four full weeks into the school year she has already needed to spend 4 days at home. she finally got over her cold and her ear infection was all cleared up. her antibiotic all used up. and three days later she has heat rash that ends up getting all irritated. then she started popping up another rash. off to the doctor we go. doctor confirms she has two separate rashes going on. irritated skin that looks to be getting infected and hand, foot and mouth disease (a viral rash). he thinks her immune system is just a little down right now so she is susceptible. her HFMD has been a very mild case and is clearing up quickly. they put her on a powerful antibiotic which is doing wonders on all her rashes.....but has created some evil diapers. she has been in a great mood and this does not seem to have gotten her down. honestly, she seems to really be enjoying the alone time with dad, mom and fridday nana. we have laid low this weekend to get sister all rested up.
2. friday after school i had the honor of chaperoning a 6th and 7th grade social. i know, you are all so jealous! lola was distracted by the middle schoolers.
3. the little girls and i stay home from the ISU game yesterday. they really enjoyed their stay home day. cece was most looking forward to it. we did watch the game and cheer on our cyclones. they played so much better than last week. our girls have always loved jarvis west and after this game they love him more. what a fantastic game he had!
4. this weather. oh how i love thee.
5. our sandbox. it really is the hot spot in our yard. they play in it constantly. and to think we almost did build it. we decided to build a sandbox the day we were building the playset. we actually had to make a trip to get the supplies. best decision ever.
apparently smiling makes her angry...
