1. maggie's current movie obsession is "little ariel" her super cute name for the little mermaid. it has been on repeat in the van. we even youtubed some of the songs.
up wear they walk, up where they run, up where they stay all day in the sun.
oh so fun.
and brings back some fond childhood memories.
right em? right scott?
2. soccer season is in full swing. we got lucky and both girls have practices on the same nights. and one night they are at the same time. on tuesday nights we will likely eat dinner in the car. it is just the best solution.
and while that sounds kind of awful. it really isn't so bad.
being stuck in the car together has it's positives. fewer distractions. time to chit chat. time together.
i have a feeling i will look back on this time of our life with fondness. the craziness of it will fall away.
3. jake is all about cars, tractors, and trains. it is just the best to watch him drive his tractors around. making the engine noises along with it. that boy is just a joy. seriously. love him so much. and all his boyness.
4. we have two full months left of school. seems so close yet so very far away. with that said i certainly don't want to wish the year away. i have loved every minute of having ellie at school with me. i didn't even embarrass her when i scored 10 points in the staff basketball game. i would love to just keep her at my school forever. can we freeze time? working hard to live in the moment these days. oh man these days are so good. don't want to miss the sweetness of it all.
5. annnnnnnnd a meal plan. just so you know we are still meal planning over here. :)
monday: sloppy joes (because the kids l.o.v.e. them AND they are e.a.s.y.)
tuesday: a car picnic of sandwiches, fruit and chips.
wednesday: chicken and rice
thursday: roast and potatoes
friday: pizza
