2016.

you went too fast. just too fast. but you were full of so much good.

looking back it is easy to see God's goodness. guiding and providing.

we are definitely blessed and thankful. so very thankful.

winter brought us a little boy turning one. crawling, then walking, then running. volleyball tournaments. grocery shopping like three times a week. iowa state wrestling and a trip to NYC for daddy. snow play. accomplishing our goal of watching all of the star wars movies. a birthday for miss cece. and lots of board game play.

spring was full of soccer games, easter egg hunts, garden planting, outdoor play, and a new love of harry potter. oh and did i mention soccer games.

summer took f o r e v e r to come with one of the latest last days of school ever. but when it did get here it was good. we started the summer with miss ellie's birthday and ended it with miss maggie's. more soccer, swimming, and lots of backyard fun. a feature in the dsm art festival for cece. ice cream and donuts were a hit. we watched the olympics like it was our job.

summer 2016 brought us one of our most favorite family vacations. we spent a week in a cabin in the black hills of south dakota. we saw the corn palace, badlands, crazy horse and 3 or 4 heads. we cooked campfire meals and ate plenty of ice cream. we made memories that will last a lifetime. momma cried happy tears when it was time to go home because that time together filled my heart with so much joy.

fall meant watch out ankeny schools! three weesners in three different schools! 7th grade for ellie, 3rd grade for cece, and preschool for maggie. a gymnastics dream come true for cece. lots of softball games. a trip to the apple orchard. a cow, a mermaid, harry potter and a m&m for halloween. cheering on our cyclone football team. and kids that just don't stop growing up.
