2. we signed the big girls up for soccer this week. it felt a lot more exciting this time and a lot less like signing up for a trip to crazy town.
we are starting to get into the groove of the girls' activities. the running here and there. sitting at practices. games schedules. being in two places at once. busy weeknights. busy weekends. keeping uniforms cleaned. water bottles filled.
don't get me wrong i have always enjoyed watching my girls participate in their activities. but in the past all of it could be very overwhelming to me.
last year we really started to embrace it. like every phase this phase of our lives will pass too. probably way too quickly. so we are going to soak it up and enjoy it the best we can. because it is just way too much fun not too.
3. have i mentioned that i have the best sister in the world. seriously i do. today was just another example of her bestness. about 90 minutes before ellie's basketball game today miss cece pukes. tim is at work. what i am going to do? i can't risk taking a puker in my car, across town, to a gym to sit and watch a basketball game. so i call my sister and she volunteers to take ellie to her game. she really is so sweet. i am truly blessed. hopefully we can repay her over the years!
*we think pukey is fine. she only got sick once. we are starting to believe she has a sensitive tummy. poor girl.
cece got this little dollhouse a few years ago. obviously it has been crying out for a decorating job.
step one is to remove the huge very well stuck on sticker on it. goo gone and i are working on that. then i am going to let miss cece loose with paint, scrapbook paper and modge podge. should be fun. we will show you how it turns out.
5. i played in a dodge ball game yesterday. sorry no pictures :( it was so fun, my team won and man am i sore. we did play for 45 minutes so i should be, right? from my coworkers posts on facebook i have gathered i am not the only one who is sore, so that makes me feel better. before the game my students asked me if i was good at dodge ball. i said i wasn't sure...i hadn't used my dodge ball skills in 14+ years. i am glad to report my dodge ball skills aren't too shabby. i am just glad i teach middle school so i can continue to use my dodge ball skills. it would be so sad to let them go to waste.
6. i got a new hairdryer. not that big of a deal, yet huge. it has cut my hair drying in half. my life is better because of it. so thankful my amazing husband suggested it. see these are the details of our life you are just dying to know...right?
