i talked in this post how one of our family goals was working on our manners. one thing we wanted to do to help was to great a thankful jar.
ours is pretty darn simple. it is just a big ole ball jar that sits on our dining room table. we simply drop our 'thanks' in. we try to write something every few days...if not every day.
my plan is to empty it out every month and compile our 'thanks' on here.
here were our january 'thanks'

honestly they are in no particular order. chocolate chips just happened to be first! ha. and i noticed a definite food theme, probably because we do this while eating. this was very interesting because the girls started out listing very basic, general things and then as we did this more they got more specific. my hope is they will continue to see all the amazing little things we have in our lives. that they will appreciate all they have. that their hearts will be filled with gratitude.
happy wednesday
