pete the cat pajama party

when cece requested a pete the cat birthday party, i was thrilled.

it was unique, it was simple, and it was all her idea. 

then she said she wanted it to be a pajama party.

perfect!

i loved it. 

i started by whipping up a pretty simple invite. 

we decided to host her friend party from 9-11 am. this ended up being a great choice. all the kiddos were in great moods AND maggie napped through most of the party. 

i created a pete the cat

we gathered up our pete the cat books and decorated the table in primary colors.

of course i had to make some sort garland. a primary colored scrappy garland it was. easy peasy.

all of cece's guests made their very own pete the cat party hat.

we ate pete the cat donuts and fruit.

the jury is still out on whether the donuts actually look like pete the cat.....

we read Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes. then we made a very special shoe for pete the cat. 

and played pin the shoe on pete the cat.

and then we headed to the basement to bounce.

pete the cat party was a success!
