hello..

life is good.

things are starting to feel....normal around here.

not back to normal.

because well obviously our normal has changed.

but our new normal.

and it's good.

jakey james is an easy going baby. sleeps great. eats well. mostly calm and content. our evenings can get a bit rough. here and there he gets all fussed up and really only momma can make him happy. which is challenging when momma needs to make dinner and get miss maggie through a bath.

but that is not every day so we just have to make it through those days.

sometimes mr. weesner may come home to burnt sandwiches and undercooked potatoes.

whoopsie.

let's blame jake for that.


the cousins came to visit yesterday. oh goodness my girls were so excited.

these two. i think they like each other.

tate literally held jake for hours. yes hours. it was so sweet.


the wrestling team has been doing so well lately. just so fun to watch all the hard work paying off.

and i had to share this picture. obviously they all thought it was a pin.

we made {these cookies} a few weeks back and we can't make them again soon enough. so good.

and i would like to give {this recipe} a try.


the last few weeks i have been working to put together the first year pictures for ellie and cecilia. like i did for miss maggie and i have started for mr. jakes. love looking back at my sweet babies.


ellie's volleyball team played in their second tournament this past weekend. after a rough start, they got on quite the roll. it was so fun watching them improve throughout the day and seeing their confidence grow. they made it all the way to the championship and ended up with second place. their finish qualified them for state.

for valentines day we gave each of the kiddos two new towels in "their" color.

and some candy too of course.

they were all excited. we explained they could always find their towel and know which one is theirs.

how fun.

then we added that if we found one on the floor we would know who left it there and then we laughed.....bahahahaha.

they think we are crazy.


i checked out mr. peabody and sherman (or sherman and mr. peabody not sure which) from the library. we might be a little late to the movie but we love it. need to buy it. it's so good!

then i purchased beautiful boy by john lennon. and listened to it and cried. because. well. feelings.
