five things....

1. i posted this picture on instagram yesterday

with the caption:
we just had one of "those" doctor appointments. you know the kind where you take two kids (e & j) in for well checks and you walk out with three kids (e, c, & m) with ear infections! you have to pick up 5 prescriptions! (antibiotics and eye drops) this happens to other families right? #winning #momoftheyear

in my defense.....no one was running a fever. mags had never complained about her ears. ellie had only complained a few times when she wasn't doing something fun or i had asked her to do a chore. cece had just told us the night before that her ears kind of hurt. AND we haven't had an ear infection in our house in over a year. kind of off the radar for the girls.

needless to say we are resting it up today.

2. my new favorite thing is thredup. if you like garage sales/thrift/consignment shopping it is way fun. i haven't bought anything yet but it is fun to browse from the comfort of my home. i keep finding new items for sweet prices. i think i am very close to pulling the trigger. use this {link} if you want to give it a try to get a $10 credit for you and me :)

3. i am almost done with my summer classes. i just have to complete a few reading logs. and boom! done. this is really the last time in my career i will need to take classes like this. it feels good to get this behind me!

4. our backdoor lets in lots of sunshine in the mornings. most of the time that sunshine is oh so welcome. however with the current hot temperatures it is not welcome. this time of year the sun shines in in the early morning and heats up our living room. i took a rather low budget approach to solving the problem. 

it does get me thinking of a more permanent solution.

5. jake is the most happy baby ever. seriously. here he is after sleeping for 10 hours.

does he wake up hungry and crying. nope. just jabbering and smiling.

love that little man.
