we had an amazing vacation the end of july. 

it was just so perfect. 

i am a real homebody and when i am gone from home a few days i start to get anxious to get home. this trip i talked tim into staying an extra night and cried when it was time to head home. tim and i spent so much time talking about our trips to south dakota as kids. it hit me that our children, especially ellie and cece would truly remember this trip. 

we just had the best time together. 

it filled my heart. 

i have a few posts planned to share it all. 

first up...the jolly green giant and the corn palace. 

our first stop on our trip was in blue earth, minnesota to see the jolly green giant. it is as green and giant as you would expect. he is also oh so jolly.

we stayed over night in mitchell, south dakota and made a quick visit to the corn palace.
