what happens in Vegas...

...ends up on my blog.

ha.

i am pretty sure that is not how the saying goes.....

i tagged along with tim to the national athletic training association convention...like the girls and i did last year. we had a great time. tim went to meetings, i slept in and sat by the pool, we went to a few parties, saw a show, and ate some yummy food. it was fun.

hanging at the pool....and our toes after we thought we blistered them on the hot hot HOT sand.

we did just a little gambling and i was the big winner. i won 31.37 on penny slots!

we went to the show KA cirque du soleil show. it was amazing. a friend of tim's works for the show and was able to get us front row seats. it is hard to tell in the picture below but that is the edge of the stage. during the opening there was fire coming out of the stage. very cool show.

four things i learned in vegas....

1. gambling really isn't my thing. i had fun with it but didn't want to spend my money that way. it was fun to win, but i immediately cashed it out:)

2. smoking is yucky. it has been a super long time since i had been around smoke...and it really bugged me. like i was coughing all the time and felt like i needed my inhaler.

3. you walk a ton in vegas. i felt like we were walking nonstop. everywhere we wanted to go was a least a 20 minute walk...anything outside our resort was 40 minutes to an hour. i don't mind walking so i was ok with it....i just didn't realize i would be walking so much.

4. taking so time to relax as a couple is a good thing. we don't get away by ourselves very often. we enjoy being together as a family. it was good for us to get out and not have to worry about the kiddos. we had a great time together. we were also super excited to see them when we got home!
