like many of you, the events of last week have been really hard for me.
as a mom and a teacher, my heart just breaks for the families in Newtown. those sweet babies were taken way too soon. too young. with too much left undone. leaving behind too much heartache.
last week was also tough because we lost a family member. my cousin's wife, Dena, lost her battle with cancer on Thursday. she left behind a husband and three children. she was 39. 39. a life cut short too early. a husband with out his wife too early. children without their mom too early. too much heartache.
my heart has been so heavy. it makes me want to hug my girls and never let go. to enjoy each moment and make the most of my time with them. and trust my God.
i pray for those families in Connecticut. i pray for my cousin's family. i pray.
