1. TGIF. i am so glad it is friday. and i am so glad we had a short week back after winter break. i am tired. the girls are tired. we need to rest up this weekend.
2. a few weeks ago, i posted about maggie being on a roll. well now she is really rolling. she is rolling all over the place. leave her in the middle of the living room playing nicely on her blanket. check back a minute later and she is gone. maybe she has rolled over by the couch or the stairs or her toys or under the christmas tree. side note the christmas tree is now put away. small, mighty, and now mobile. i think this could be an interesting combination.
3. speaking of miss maggie, the week before christmas she had her four month check up. she weighed in at 11 pounds 12 ounces and measured 24 inches. her weight puts her at the 6% but she continues to gain, so no worries there. she got 4 shots and permission to begin cereal. maggie seems to enjoy eating her cereal.
i know what you are thinking....put a bib on that baby for heavens sake! well, we tried that. and that didn't work so well. she wants to control the spoon, have her hand in her mouth while also chewing on her bib. it makes for a big mess. no bib makes the whole process a little easier.
4. we had a great christmas break. celebrating the birth of our Savior. plenty of time spent relaxing with family. lots of yummy food to eat. hours of playing with new toys and games. we really enjoyed it. quite honestly we really enjoy any break at home:)
here are a few note-ables from our break.....
*one night while sitting in her high chair maggie reached up and pulled a napkin off the table. no big deal right? except it had our "santa cup" on it. yep, fell to the floor and broke into pieces. i had no idea how much it meant to the girls! they were literally sobbing on the floor with the pieces. picture the Duke when he drops Cinderella's glass slipper. cece even claimed maggie did it on purpose because maggie smiled at her. it was quite comical. and sad. so sad that i definitely did not laugh at them:) luckily Nana has a Santa cup she can spare. phew!
by the way....we may still attempt to glue him back together. it would make a good story, right? i can hear it now....remember when maggie was a baby and she broke the santa cup......
*Santa brought us a few new games for our wii. the girls are loving wii party. it is fun to watch them play together and really have fun.
*we visited my grandma while we were back at my parents. 94 years old and still living on her own. she loved seeing the babies. she remembered all their birthdays....which is pretty impressive given there were 4 babies born in 4 months!
she also has an amazing precious moments collection. we think she has them all!
* we were asked to play the holy family in a christmas eve service at our church. here we are...
5. when it snowed 14.5 inches a few weeks back the snow plow simply piled the snow in the middle of our cul de sac. it made a mountain of snow. the kiddos loved it. the snow plow tried to move it late last week and but couldn't. but today after school it was gone. instead of one big mountain, now there are a few smaller piles. the girls were disappointed the big mountain was gone, but were able to play for quite some time on the new piles this evening. i love when the temps are just right for them to play outside in the snow without having to worry about them freezing their toeies off!!
well...that is all i have for ya folks. happy friday!
