State Parks Close Ahead of Shutdown, Holiday Weekend
after we were interviewed Ellie says to me, "Mom now that we were on TV people are going to know us!"
yes, we did find out when we arrived at the campground Wednesday afternoon that we would not be able to stay there thursday night.
no, we didn't stress to much about it, we just found a campground in Wisconsin to stay at Thursday night.
yes, we do feel really bad for the 20,000 plus Minnesota State employees who are laid off right now. We talked to a Park Ranger on Thursday and my heart broke for him....he seemed really nervous.
no, we did not want to be interviewed! We were so gross! Let's just say it was a good thing it is television and not smellervision! We went for a long and sweaty hike Thursday morning and spent the whole afternoon at a water park. The last thing we wantedd was to be filmed! I was sitting in the van while Tim and the girls were inside checking into the campsite, they came up to me and asked me a couple questions. They said we were the perfect story!
yes, we did have a great trip! more to come on that:)
