so very very thankful to be 35 weeks
we had a slight scare on friday.
i was in the hall when a 7th grade boy, who was full on running to get to lunch, ran smack into me.
he hit me hard.
he didn't knock me down, but he hit me hard on the side and spun me around.
i called him back and gave him a little lecture. i probably wasn't very nice.
it hurt at first, but i figured i was fine. i went on my way to lunch duty.
my back started to hurt. i had a few pains in my belly.
and then a couple contractions.
up until this point in this pregnancy, i have had a few sporadic braxton hicks contractions. nothing consistent.
i decided i would go report what happened to the nurse and get some tylenol for my back. she took my blood pressure and had me hang out for a bit. no contractions. so on my way i went.
then i sat and ate my lunch. and started having contractions about 10 minutes apart.
i went to my classroom to do some work and the contractions just kept coming.
this is when i started to get nervous and stressed and freak out just a bit.
tim was in las vegas for a wrestling meet. i was going to be home with the girls by myself all weekend.
i really started to worry.
i was texting with tim. he urged me to go see the nurse again and go home.
i really felt like it was just braxton hicks contractions but the consistency of them concerned me.
i went back down to the nurse.she thought i looked stressed. she took my blood pressure again and it was up. she decided at the very least i needed to go home and relax. she had me call my doctor and we figured out a sub.
my doctor called back and they wanted me to come in. then they called back and said to head to the hospital.
i called tim as i headed to the hospital. he was mat side waiting for the meet to start when i told him i was headed to the hospital. we were both very nervous.
i really thought everything was fine. i just needed to know it was.
they checked me in and started to monitor the little guy and me.
after more than an hour of monitoring we determined i was having mild contractions about every 10 minutes.
however, brother's heart rate and reactions were great. and i was not dilated. all good news. everything was fine.
huge sigh of relief.
i was discharged about 4 pm with instructions to take it easy for a few days.
which i did.
my mom came up to stay with the girls and i. i spent saturday and sunday with my feet up relaxing and doing the bare minimum. i had contractions on and off on saturday. i had quite a few less on sunday and just a few today.
so needless to say, i have entered shut down mode. just doing what i have to do. go to school and come home and take it easy.
hopefully we can keep baby brother happy and snug in my belly for five more weeks.
God was definitely watching over brother and i. very thankful for His guidance and protection.
we are so very very thankful to be 35 weeks.
