in late october when we headed to nebraska for my lovely be crafty workshop we also discussed going to the omaha zoo. we decided to leave it up in the air in case the weather was bad or people were too tired.
honestly, come sunday morning we still weren't sure if we were going to go. but the weather looked great and everyone seemed to be in a good mood. so we decided to go for it.
on our way in to the zoo we almost turned back. miss maggie cried from the van to the ticket gate. she was tired and grumpy and wanted nothing to do with the stroller. we all know that is a recipe for success. but we continued nervously. fingers crossed her mood would improve. which it did.
and i am oh so glad we did.
it turned out to be our best zoo trip ever.
the animals were active.
the crowd so small.
the weather amazing.
the fall scenery beautiful.
the lines in the bathrooms nonexistent.
one of those days we will always cherish, it was perfect.
