Now for the Bad News....well it isn't really bad news..more like bad luck... The soccer team and Tim traveled to Texas this weekend for games against Texas Tech and Baylor. They played in Lubbock Friday night. Saturday morning they got up and headed to the airport for a 11:30 flight to Waco. They were supposed to take a small plane (a turbo prop). Unfortunately, the plane was broke down and needed a new part. The part needed to be flown from Dallas (I would have a really hard time getting on the plane in this situation!!!) Their flight was delayed while they waited for the part. They were able to watch the Cyclones beat Texas while sitting in the airport in Lubbock. He said it was neat to watch the Cyclones beat Texas in Texas:) However, there were tornadoes around Dallas so the plane with the part could not get out of Dallas. At 4pm their flight was cancelled. They decided they would drive themselves to Waco. But they could not get one way car rentals. So, they had to rent cars, drive 6 hours or so to Dallas, then get on a bus and drive 2 more hours to Waco. Talk about getting a tour of Texas!!!!
Here were Tim's wheels for the adventure! Just throw on "T-Weezy" licence plates and that is one sweet ride!
I talked to Tim today..he got to bed at 3am this morning. They played this afternoon and won! They flew from Waco to Dallas and are on their way back to Iowa now. He is absolutely exhausted!
